Pokemon Fire Red	Leech Seed combined with Toxic was a killer combo in the original Red/Blue games. They since fixed it for the newer Gen games, but it's still effective.

Pokemon Fire Red	Bulbasaur. There are plenty of water pokemon in the game, and Arcanine is a good fire choice. Plus, bulbasaur is the only pokemon besides exeggcute to learn leech seed. And leech seed combined with toxic is pretty good.
