Pokemon Dark Energy (beta 4.0) OK, how do you get to that weird voice fast enough for something to happen?
Pokemon Dark Energy (beta 4.0) Never mind, cloning glitch is still a thing, I'm good.
Pokemon Dark Energy (beta 4.0) Er, where can I get another De-Stone? I accidentally let my Eevee evolve into Umbreon, and I was planning to use the De-Stone for some form of movepool shenanigans with other Eeveelutions.
Pokemon Obscure (gold hack) The cheese. Is looking. AT ME.
Pokemon Green - English And Raticate actually looks a little less freakish, too.
Pokemon Green - English Ooh, add Paras to that list. Maybe Bellsprout as well.
Pokemon Green - English Y'know, some of these Green Version sprites ain't half bad. Don't get me wrong, some make me cringe, but others, like Wartortle and the female Nidoran, I actually prefer them over their R/B sprites.
Pokemon TRE - Team Rocket Edition Koffing as a starter? Best. Game. Ever.
Pokemon Advanced Adventure The storyline seems a bit lacking, but they changed things up enough to get my attention nonetheless. I like how your rival's a bad guy now and the Gym Leaders are his minions.
Pokemon Advanced Adventure I gotta say, I'm liking this game so far. Team thus far is Farfetch'd, Pignite, Zangoose, and Pikachu. Where can I get a Light Ball?

Money, Money, Money!
We've all been there- you need to buy more Max Potions and Full Restores and Revives for your Pokémon League challenge, but you've already beaten every single Trainer in the game! And this isn't Red or Blue, so no Missingno. to clone those Nuggets, either, not unless you're feeling lucky enough to risk finding one with the Mew Glitch (and believe me, finding one in Yellow that won't freeze your game upon encounter is an infuriating process). Need more money? Here's what I did in Yellow, it worked for me.

You need two Pokémon. One of them should be your Pikachu, and the only move that matters for this is Pay Day. You can find the TM just south of Lavender Town, it's on that one dock you have to Surf to get to. The other one should be Butterfree, and it should know Harden, Sleep Powder, and Flash.

First, go into Victory Road and encounter a wild Onix. Send in Butterfree. Use Sleep Powder to put it to sleep, and then spam Harden until it wakes up. This will ensure that Onix doesn't knock Butterfree out before you can properly set things up. Then, once it wakes up, keep using Harden until it starts to use Rage. Then switch to using Flash, until Onix misses with Rage. This is the best part- due to a glitch, if Rage misses in these games, its accuracy plummets to something like a 1 in 256 chance of hitting. One-hit KO moves have better chances of hitting than that! Once Rage misses, that's your cue to switch to Pikachu- Onix can't do a thing to it, leaving you free to spam Pay Day until Onix faints or Pikachu runs out of PP for Pay Day, whichever comes first. And given Onix's incredible Defense, it can take a lot of Pay Days, allowing you to rake in thousands of Pokédollars per battle!

Yo! Champ in making!
OK, basically, I'm gonna tell you the best way to get past the Gyms in Yellow.

Pewter Gym (Brock): Right away, the game puts you at a disadvantage- every Pokémon in Pewter Gym is Ground type, and you're forced to start with an Electric-type. Yes, I know it's technically a Rock Gym, so why don't you tell that to the Jr. Trainer with a Diglett and a Sandshrew, hmm? He doesn't seem to have gotten the memo. Anyways, it's not him you should be worried about, it's Brock. Defeating him with Pikachu, while not impossible, is nevertheless rather difficult, and you want the easy way. Thankfully, the programmers were compassionate enough to give you a few options you didn't have in Red and Blue- namely, Nidoran and Mankey. On Route 22, west of Viridian City, you can catch Mankey and both varieties of Nidoran. Mankey learns Low Kick at level 9 (couldn't even get the move in Red and Blue), and both Nidoran get Double Kick at level 12 (couldn't learn it until much later in the game in Red and Blue). Both moves are Fighting, and give you the type advantage over Brock's Rock-types. Another option is to catch a Caterpie and raise it to Butterfree. Once Metapod evolves into Butterfree at level 10, it learns Confusion. While it's not super effective against Rock-types, it does target their weaker Special stat, and it's a far better option than anything Pikachu can do.

Cerulean Gym (Misty): Pikachu will fare much better here, as Thunder Shock is super effective against Misty's Staryu and Starmie. Still, though, Bubble Beam hits pretty hard, so I would recommend getting the Bulbasaur from Melanie right there in town. If Bulbasaur's not your style, Routes 24 and 25 are home to wild Bellsprout and Oddish, both of which are just as good at getting the job done. Bellsprout is my personal recommendation, Victreebel being my favorite Grass-type, but any of the three will do well. Just make sure you raise them to a high enough level before the battle!
