Donkey Kong (Classic) Overall - 9.5 This game is fun, I'll give it that. For it being one of the first games Nintendo ever introduced, it's also one of the funnest and most addicting games you'll ever play! The arcade version was fun and the NES version was less fun, but it was still fun! Graphics - 8 This was the first game by Nintendo, right? Well what do you expect? It's not the easiest to look at over a long period of time, but it's one of the best games ever and what do you seriously expect from this age old game? I'll strain my eyes playing it, but at least it looks good(ish). Sound - 5 Why Jumpman beeps every time he puts one foot in front of the other is beyond me! It gets seriously annoying listening to beeps all day. So if I were you, I'd mute this game before you hear ringing in your ears. Addictiveness - 10 Though the sound may suck and the graphics aren't the best of the 21st century, it was one of the best games I've ever played and I've been playing it since I was a tyke. Don't bother fighting the awesomeness that is Donkey Kong 24/7. My longest time playing this game before started seeing red was probably about 15 hours. It's seriously addictive. Story - 1 Mario always keeps to his promise of absolutely zero story especially back when he was Jumpman. Though I have to give it a one here out of respect. Basically you save the Princess. You hit the Kong in the head. And you live happily ever after, at least until the next game. Depth - 5 The game is like never ending. Where is the ending to this game, huh? Though this game never seems to end, this is surely where it got it's 10 on addictiveness. Difficulty - 10 At first it may seem easy, but it only gets harder and harder and harder and harder and harder. |

Sonic The Hedgehog 3 w/ Knuckles Overall - 10 This game was fun without Knuckles as a playable character, but now that they added an entirely different set to it by adding Knuckles as a playable character, it's funner to play now. I still prefer going in as Sonic & Tails, but Knuckles story is pretty good too. This is definitely a game anyone should play. The controls are simple and the game is fun. Play this game! Graphics - 10 Just like in Sonic The Hedgehog 3, I give this a 10. The graphics are amazing, especially during the emerald challenges. Knuckles glide looks exceptionally well for its time too. Every time you break a rock or something, everything just goes flying and there's no screw ups or anything in this game. Well done! Sound - 9 Still...It does get annoying playing the emerald challenges with the sound on. The constant beep beep beep is the only thing that really annoyed me about this game. However I still find myself humming to the catchy tunes of each zone as I'm waltzing my way through robot crabs and attacking chickens. Sounds great! Addictiveness - 10 I'm giving this a 10 mainly because I would play Sonic The Hedgehog 3 when I was little and would never stop, but with Knuckles...I'm gonna need glasses soon because I CANNOT stop playing this game. It's a fun game and you should play it at least once, because you'll get hooked. Story - 9 With Knuckles as a playable character, you understand more of the story than in Sonic The Hedgehog 3. But still, Sonic you would've stopped Knuckles from taking your precious jewels in the first place! It's still pretty interesting. Depth - 9 The extra levels make the game even funner than before. And going through as...You know what I can't tell you because then I'd be spoiling the surprise. However the game's pretty lengthy and it's one of the best I've ever played. Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Overall - 10 This game was one of my favorites when I was a kid and it still is. Though if you've played this game for as long as I have you should be able to go Super Sonic at least by the third stage, Marble Gardens. Overall, I loved this game and it was my chance to get away from family when I was younger. Graphics - 10 The graphics on this game were better than most. The 3-D in the chaos emerald stages were cool. This is one of the few games that don't strain my eyes after 3 hours...That or I just don't care. The graphics are excellent for the Sega Genesis. Sound - 9 The songs for this game are like Mario in a way. After a while you start humming to them, but after a while it gets tiresome to hear the beep beep beep every time you get a blue sphere. So it's not bad, but it's not the best. It's right up there though. Addictiveness - 10 This game was fun when I was little and still is. I've played this game like a million times and I'll probably play it a million more times before I pass. This is definately a game you should play! Story - 7 The story is a little cloudy to me. Knuckles steals the emeralds from you as you approach an unknown island in the middle of the ocean. First off, why are you going there? I've read the manual and you might as well explain what happened rather than a **** of a Knuckles takes your emeralds when you can easily stop him. WTF!? Depth - 7 The game didn't seem to have much story to it and it wasn't very long either. I'd beat the game in at least an hour or two each time. Difficulty - 7 This game isn't very hard, but it's not easy. You can't tell what you're going to run into next until you do. Then you're dead or you lose all your hard earned rings. It's definately easier than most Sonic games now. Play it! |
