Red Faction: Guerrilla 06-22-13 03:36 AM

red faction is one of the greatest game series ever made
Blow the crap out of buildings with guerrilla tactics and liberate mars in third person sounds like good day. This one takes place 50 years after the first game and well Ultor(bad guys in the first game) is out of the game and the E.D.F take control of the red planet by acting like Nazis we can say in short. The protagonist is a demo worker named Alec Mason who is out with his brother Dan and then an E.D.F ship spots them and kills Dan so Alec has a reason to join the Red Faction. As you fight through a large free-roaming side of mars whether it be an empty wasteland or a large city you will battle E.D.F and Marauders(alien type people who come out at night) The graphics are well made but since it is on mars THQ had to remake a world up there after we terraform the planet to have oxygen and this could happen in the next 50 years maybe. You are a man fighting for freedom so your goal is steal enemy tech, attack supplies, and wreck havoc on the E.D.F. You get to drive any car driving on the red roads of mars like a heavy armored troop transport with a remote MG on the top( you can shoot it while you drive) or a civilian luxury car or maybe a Marauder's land cruiser with a spike gun on the side, yes it is remote operated or you could man it for best aim. The game has a thing called geo-mod which allows you to bring buildings down on top of your enemies. You could go all out guns-a-blaze or you could set your charges on the building, cause a distraction the take them out with one of your many versatile weapons or just the sledge hammer you carry through your liberation quest. If you watched Alien then you'll notice the power loader that can be found in special areas of mars but that's only a close up and small mech so go find the rocket mech or get the bigger power loader about the size of a building. Sound is good like bombs going off, enemies shouting "F-you", or the sound of the many cars to drive. There are about 230 side missions like blowing a building back to Ear... Brothers in Arms: Hell\'s Highway 06-21-13 08:09 PM

Play the first one so that it makes more since before this on
This first person shooter follows a true story of a 101st Airborne squad lead by the protagonist Matthew Baker who is fighting a secret that he's kept from his squad since days after Normandy. The game starts with them going in to Holland starting Operation Market Garden in Sept. 17, 1944. The sounds in the game are amazing like you can hear planes dog-fighting over head, Nazis shouting orders at each other, and the great sound of the gun fire. Graphics look quite real like the landscape, the P-51 dog fights with Luftwaffe, and the people with their authentic outfits. The game takes you through towns, factories, and open causeways each with recon points and killroys hidden through out the hell you fight. You get many weapons like a Thompson, MP40, or a MG42 along with an M1911 handgun, grenades and sometimes tank battles(on foot or in a tank). The squad has to be commanded but that's easy to learn. Baker has to fight these ghosts he sees because he didn't tell the squad of what happened to their buddies on June 8, 1943 that's why you have to play Road To Hill 30 so you can see who died and where the secret comes in but that's not till the end of hell's highway. The ending may bring a tear to your eye but there are many spots that may happen. There are a few funny lines but that's in like the first three chapters. If you like WW2 games or games with the best stories this is one for you and for five dollars at Gamestop it's worth it. Overall it's great and worth it and I can't wait for the rest of Bakers story because at times it seemed that he would die with his squad in this one.
