Does anybody know any good games that have graphics like Starcraft one or maybe a bit better because my computer is old and I need recommendations for games that have low specs.  So if you know of any good games please tell me. (Maybe games that came out around 1998 to 2004). Thanks.

Old Wolfenstien games.

Old Doom games.

Old Quake games.

The Star Wars games. There is like a favorites bundle that has a whole bunch of them.

And the ones leggy said.

Other than that good luck. I am in the same boat.

Good Low Spec Games you say? Let's see...
- Star Trek Armada 2 (decent though)
- Masters of Orion 2
- Unreal
- Tom Clancey's Rainbow Six

You probably might have some in the list below, but I'll list them anyways:
- Half Life
- Warcraft III (and Frozen Throne Expansion)
- Diablo II (preferably Lord of Destruction Expansion)
- Unreal Tournament 2004

That's all I can think of through the tip of my head.

DOS games are generally are as low spec as can be, but you'll need DOSbox to run games made for DOS. If you aren't a tech minded person, you might want to find Windows versions of games that were made for DOS, or use Steam or gog.com to get these games to run without much trouble. Fallout 2 is one you will have to mod after buying off Steam, though. At least I had to on my Windows 7 64-bit laptop. The colors became all rainbow colored as if some fourth grader just learned how to color in the lines of a manga volume.

Since you have an older machine if I'm reading between the lines correctly, you might not end up with DOS games giving you eye pains. Anything that was made for Windows 3.1 will, as a rule from what I've heard thus far, be about as easy to get to work outside of Windows 3.1 as building a five story house out of hardrives will be on your wallet. In other words, if the game was only ever made for Windows 3.1, don't try playing it on something that uses a version of Windows that isn't 3.1.

Most Pop Cap games are very low spec. In fact, even the newest game they release will probably be low spec. This might be due to the fact that most of the games can be played as free web games on their site. Bejeweled 2 probably won't make your computer cry in agony if you play it on an older machine. Highly recommend Bookworm from Pop Cap, as well. Zoo Tycoon 1 is pretty easy to get running with ease. The System Shock games are DOS games you can get off gog.com for a pretty good price. System Shock is a horror series, but it's more creepy than it is terrifying. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind might be low spec.

There's also a few of the King's Quest games that got remade by fans to play like the fifth King's Quest game. Here's the site to get them: http://www.agdinteractive.com/

Good luck.

Low spec PC games? Well, two I really enjoyed that could run on my laptop were the Original Deus ex games and Morrowind.
Or the elder scrolls 2- Daggerfall, but very glitchy.

Audiosurf is a great music game if you enjoy the idea of playing any type of music. I just wish the demo wasn't timed. You can get it off Steam.

I you want good low-spec games, you could try these:

-Command & Conquer 95 (It's freeware now)
-C&C Tiberium sun +Firestorm (also freeware now from what I've heard)
-C&C Red Alert (again, Freeware)
-C&C Red Alert 2 +Yuri's Revenge (not freeware but still a good game.)
-You could try some old DOS games with dos box.
-Touhou Project 6-12 if your into that sort of thing (challenging shooting game series)
-Barkley, Shut Up and Jam Gaiden (A basketball RPG. It's awesome. Free.)
-Star Guard (free shooting game with stick men)
-Cho Ren Sha 68k (cool retro type shooter, free.)

if you want good low-spec fan games:

-Streets of Rage Remake
-Sonic Robo Blast 2
-Super  Mario Bros. X (you can make your own Mario game!)
-Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch

Hope this helped.

Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst
Just search for schthack on google for it cause the official servers are dead and that's a private server that's free. You'll have to register to be able to play though.

i have alot of games for low specs(i use a 2008 laptop -.-)

Mount & Blade - 3 different versions. its the best sandbox/RPG/strategy/combat game you will ever play. its directX 7 compatable for the really low spec gamers. one of the 3 games came out with the first DLC in the series. this is avalible on steam but i recommend you get it from www.taleworlds.com

Killing Floor - a pretty popular game where you kill waves of zombies. has big multiplayer servers with up to 30 players.

söldner secret wars - i found this game while looking for war games it isnt exactly what you'd call as popular as minecraft but it has a few thousand people

sim city 4 - you should know

Kerbal Space Program - it doesnt run all that well on my comp but its bearable on minimum settings.

Cube 2 Sauerbraten - its not well know either but it reminds me of tf2 sort of

i would go on but i would just take up the rest of the forum post so maybe if someone wants more just reply to this and ill tell you some more.
